Sweet Orange Essential Oil

The orange is a hybrid of ancient cultivated origin, possibly between pomelo and mandarin. It has a lively, fruity, sweet aroma. It is used to scent fruity and eau de cologne fragrances.

Benefits:

  • Diuretic, constipation, helps eliminate toxins, overindulgence, antiseptic, nervous anxiety, disinfectant and general body tonic.
  • Calmative, sedative and antibiotic.
  • Overall, skin care, obesity and water retention. Dull, oily, puffy skin, wrinkles, strengthens epidermis, increases circulation, cell hydration, supports cell regeneration.

Blending: Being citrus oil itself, it blends well with other citrus essential oils. Then it blends well with essential oils of Cinnamon, Cloves, Frankincense, Ginger, Black Pepper, Sandal Wood and Vetiver.

Few Words of Caution: It shows photo-toxicity. Can cause skin irritations if exposed to strong sunlight after application. It tastes bitter and if ingested in excess quantity, can result in vomiting, nausea, loss of appetite etc.
