Pure Essential Oils
Essential oils are considered the first ever medicine and have been used around the world for centuries. Essential oils and other aromatics have been used in religious rituals to treat various illnesses and for other physical and spiritual needs.
Research dates the use of essential oils back to 4500 BC. Ancient Egyptians were the first to discover the possibilities of fragrance and records demonstrate that oils and aromatics were used for treating illness and performing rituals and religious ceremonies in the temples and pyramids. Three oils that are still commonly used today that were used by the Egyptians include cedarwood, myrrh and frankincense.
According to ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics and Chinese manuscripts, priests and physicians used oils a thousand years before the time of Christ. There are more than 188 references to oils in the Bible and some precious oils like frankincense, myrrh, rosemary, cassia and cinnamon were used for the anointing and healing of the sick. Additionally, biblical prophets recognized the use of essential oils as protection against disease.
The reintroduction of essential oils into modern medicine first began during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Since that time essential oils have been used traditionally to kill harmful germs, as well as spiritually to balance mood, lift spirits and dispel negative emotions.
Ojaván Products now offers 11 Pure Essential Oils. They include the six aromas we offer in Ojaván bath salts and five new aromas: Wakanda - Clary Sage, Nova - Lemongrass, Quanah - Rosemary, Yenene - Tea Tree and Donoma - Lemon.

Lemon -is both a small evergreen tree, native to Asia, and the tree's oval yellow fruit. The scent is evocative of the fresh ripe peel. Along with lemon’s sweet aroma, they are used for antibacterial purposes because it has a low PH. In South and South East Asia, it is known for its antiseptic properties. Lime - is a term referring to a number of different fruits, both species and hybrids, citruses, which are typically round, green to yellow in color, 3–6 cm in diameter, and containing sour and acidic pulp. Litsea - is a genus of evergreen or deciduous trees or shrubs belonging to the Laurel family. The essential oil of litsea is pale yellow in color and has a strong fragrance of lemon. Litsea essential oil is used in aromatherapy to treat many skin-related conditions such as dermatitis, spots and acne; it is found in many skin care lotions and ointments. Mandarin - is a small citrus tree, with fruit resembling other oranges. The floral, neroli-like undertones of mandarin are evocative and sensual.
