I have heard that essential oils may burn the skin will these do so?

The essential oils in our products have been carefully combined with the salts and there should be no reaction with the skin. If in the past you have had a skin reaction to certain essential oils use only a small amount of salts and test in a bowl with warm water bathing only your hand to see if irritation occurs.

How do you apply essential oils?

Almost no essential oil should be applied neat (undiluted) to the skin. "Normal dilution" is 2.5%, ie, 15 drops of the essential oil to 1oz of water or carrier oil. To help pick which carrier oil to use . An easy way to remember the conversion rate is 20/1. For every 20 drops of carrier oil add 1 drop of pure essential oil or use the conversion chart provided for larger quantities.
